Quick Details
Join us for a unique springtime excursion while on Orcas Island. Small groups (up to six people) make for a fun and personal time in the islands.
These kayak tours include a stop at a small, nature preserve island, owned by the Nature Conservancy. Once on the island, there is plenty of opportunity to stroll the trails and see a variety of native wildflowers. A variety of birds and marine wildlife is also commonly seen on this tour.
Wildflower tours are offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in April and early May. If you have a group of four or more people, we may be able to offer other dates as well. Call or email for details.
Shearwater provides stable two-person kayaks, all the necessary kayaking gear, dry storage bags, and professional guide. Our tours include 20-30 minutes of gear adjustment and basic instruction. Expect two and a half hours on the water for this tour.
No kayaking experience is required. However, this is a physical activity and all participants should be prepared to paddle for 2+ hours.
Spring Wildflower trips are only offered during April and early May. For flower lovers, April is also the time to enjoy the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival after your trip to the island!
