Spring is in Bloom at Yellow Island

Join us on a Spring Wildflower Kayak Tour for a unique experience while on Orcas Island. Small groups (up to six people) make for a fun and intimate time in the marine environment.

These tours include a stop at a small preserve, owned by the Nature Conservancy. Once on the island, there is plenty of opportunities to explore the hiking trails and see a variety of unique wildflowers. Eagles, harbor seals, shorebirds, and sea stars are common on this tour.

Wildflower tours are offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. If you have a group of four or more people, we may be able to offer other days as well. Call or email for details.

Shearwater provides stable two-person kayaks, all the necessary kayaking gear, dry storage bags, and professional guide. No kayak experience is required. Our tours include 20-30 minutes of gear adjustment and basic instruction. Expect two and a half hours on the water for this tour.

Spring Wildflower trips are only offered during April and May.

Meeting Location: Deer Harbor Marina. Meet outside The Barge Gift Shop. Down the ramp on the right side of the main dock. Additional parking is available in the upper lot.
