Families with two or more kids may not be comfortable paddling with our standard 3-hour trips. Family Tours move slower and cover less distance, but they still give parents and their children a chance to share quality time on the water.
For Family Tours, we allow children between the ages of 7-10 years old to paddle in the front seat of a tandem kayak. Triple kayaks can also be used for young children on these trips. Children in a triple must be accompanied by two adults. Tour times vary. Call for details.
We offer these tours by request when we can fit them in our schedule at Rosario Resort and Deer Harbor, as they have little tidal current and offer more protection from the wind.
Two children are not allowed to paddle a tandem kayak together. An adult (15 years old+) paddling in the back of every kayak is required.
Family Tours are offered from April – September. The minimum age requirement is 7 years old.
Cancellations: You want to go kayaking. We want to take you kayaking. We understand plans sometimes change. Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance of a standard, scheduled tour are fully refunded (more than 5 days in advance for groups of 5+; private and custom tours have a separate policy). Late cancellations or changes, late arrivals, and no-shows are refunded only if we are able tofill the tour.
