Working with Shearwater
Every summer we add several new crew members to our team of kayak guides. Our guides have had diverse backgrounds: students, recent grads, casual kayakers, outdoor enthusiasts, retirees, etc. Some come to us with extensive paddling experience and others are new to kayaking. We provide training to fill the gaps, if necessary. Our season runs April – September, but specific commitments are negotiable. Full-time and part-time positions available.
Shearwater provides a fun and supportive work environment in a beautiful setting. Orcas Island has a vibrant community with many opportunities for involvement in activities outside of work. Pay is competitive, including tips and a guide bonus for completing the season.
