Sucia Island is the gem of the San Juan Islands state parks. This uninhabited island has miles of beautiful sandstone shoreline, sculpted by wind and waves. Eagles, seals, otters, and porpoise are common sightings. Orca whales sometime surprise us on this route.
Join us for a powerboat shuttle from Orcas Island to the dock on Sucia. We launch at Fox Cove and usually circumnavigate all of Sucia, with a break for lunch in a scenic cove. This tour is sometimes more strenuous than our other locations (due to tidal currents). Be prepared to paddle for 4 hours in a wild and rugged environment.
No kayaking experience is required, however if you are concerned about your ability to paddle for 4+ hours, consider one of our shorter tours. Minimum age for this location is 15 years.
